Meet the lady behind the scenes

I have been very fortunate to work along side Mark and his lads for the last 19 months. The experience has been both a great and rewarding experience.

Working in the construction industry is very new to me but I have been able to use and adapt my hospitality management and marketing skills. These skills have been put to very good use and I really enjoy what I do and bring to the team.

Prior to joining the Mark Fletcher team I was working and living on resorts since I was 19 years old (Daydream, Dunk, Brampton, Ayers Rock, Lord Howe Island). 13 years ago my husband and I traveled overseas and continued live and work on 5 star resorts in Dubai, Bahrain and Vietnam (12 years stint) . I had the opportunities to create and produce events for royal families, world leaders, CEO's, elite sports stars such as F1 drivers, work along side some of the best General Manager's and Managers that 5-6 star resorts of that nature attract, train and develop staff from around the globe and have developed many great friendships from all corners of the world.

Doing payroll from home with a much needed coffee

Which Project has been the most memorable/rewarding experience? Baileys hotel was the most memorable as it was the most challenging experience as far as accounting went, particularly as it was such a massive project. I learnt so much from this experience. I am forever grateful for that.

At the same time I was managing our accounts for a number of other commercial building companies and I would like to take this opportunity and give a special shout out "thanks" to contract administrators Jasmin from Prime Constructions, Catherine from CPS and

Cheryl from Hutchinson's. These lovely

ladies were very supportive and detailed.

That's me driving the resort Buggy in 50 degree heat at Jumeriah Beach Hotel Dubai. The Burj Al Arab is behind us (7 star resort, and yep I got to stay there for a night).

When you are not working what do you like to do? Go travelling, shopping, spending time with my family and friends.

Fav Food? Roast Pork with Crackling, Asian Salads.

Fav Drink? Wine, wine and more wine. LOL. Oh and coffee.

Fav Sports? Soccer. Man United is my team (Sorry not sorry Mark).

Bucket List? Go back to my home country Ireland to see my family. My folks, my little brother and I moved to Oz when I was 6 years old. I have only been back once.

Who do you want up next for our weekly blog? Mark is up next.
